We're looking for a talented Asterisk techie to join our expanding team in Huddersfield. This role requires in-depth knowledge of manual asterisk dial-plan configuration as well as experience with FreePBX.
Responsibilities
- Dealing with customers over the phone, email and remote desktop/ SSH
- Working from a ticketing system and accurately logging all work and support queries
- Working though set support tasks via procedures
- Maintaining and troubleshooting asterisk installations on Linux servers
Essential
- An excellent telephone manor
- Clear communication skills
- Minimum 1yr experience with Asterisk
- Basic grasp of the Linux commandline
- Advanced use of the Asterisk CLI
- Experience of using and maintaining FreePBX
- Advanced use of one or more scripting languages: perl, python or bash
- Fundamental understanding of VoIP including SIP
You will also have
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Good technical troubleshooting skills
- Ability to explain technical issues in easy to understand terms over the phone and in writing
- A strong focus on quality
- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Good organisational skills
